I drew my cover this way, because I wanted to show the most important parts of this novel. The oak tree on the Radley's property, and the mockingbirds, which show the heart of the story. The importance of the mockingbird's meaning of innocence destroyed as portrayed in the story. Harper Lee said "It's a sin to kill a mockingbird" so I wanted to show the mockingbird dead on the floor, and the other one opening its wings before its killed.
